Born the youngest two children of a drug addicted prostitute and absentee fathers, Nesha and Kwame Duhart are all each other have. Then one of her regulars-a prominent pastor-is brutally murdered. Nesha becomes the prime suspect. An unjust conviction will land her in prison for life, shattering Kwame's world by leaving him an orphan. Has every trick she's ever turned in the name of love for him been in vain? Only time will tell as Nesha awaits the outcome of her fate in a jail cell while Kwame is thrust into an unfamiliar environment. It's a tossup.
