Synopsis "Katya learns to love her Freedom"

Katya is less beautiful than her sisters. Therefore, her father cannot find a husband for her. He offers an excellent dowry in order to marry her off. Indeed, a young man soon turns up willing to marry Katya.Without asking Katya, her father marries her to him. However, shortly after the wedding, she finds out that her bridegroom is already in a relationship with another one. After she had given birth to several heirs, her husband and her father sent her to a lunatic asylum. There they bend her to their will by rude "therapy methods" and she must work for the boss every day. However, she always keeps her plan in mind to escape someday. Years later, she manages indeed to escape this tyranny and brings her tormentors to justice, one after the other. When the Nazi terror gains the upper hand, she tries to prevent Jews from deportation with help of her new friends. Finally she attracts the attention of the henchmen. However, she succeeds in clearing out in time. After the war, she builds up a new life for her and other women and lives happily and content until the end of her life. After the bestsellers "Sara the Weasel" and "Golden Straw in my Hair", Elisabeth Margaretha Countess of Schoengau- Brixendorf wrote another non-fiction novel which attracts attention. After meticulous investigation and working through countless diaries, her novel thrillingly extends the series "Strong Ladies".
