Synopsis "Learners' educational expectations and career choices"

In this research we are interested in students' expectations (wishes) and career choices (orientation). In the school context, through a questionnaire on educational needs and career choice, we used the SPSS 25 software where we categorized and coded the variables for a statistical study that revealed the role of the teacher in changing behavior, the interest that students have in education to ..., the sharing of responses for the languages of instruction (Arabic, French, English) reflecting a reality of the absence of language policy. As for the choice of career, the results show that the majority of students make their choice alone. However, about a third let themselves be influenced either by parents or teachers. Another third discuss with their peers. What is odd about the results is the low percentage of influence from guidance counselors.
