Synopsis "Les fleurs de givre (in French)"

Fils de George William Chapman, marchand, et de Caroline Angers, soeur de François-Réal Angers, il naît à Saint-François-de-Beauce (aujourd'hui Beauceville). Il fréquente le collège de Lévis et l'Université Laval avant de délaisser les études. Journaliste libéral, il occupe plusieurs métiers, dont fonctionnaire, vendeur d'assurances et libraire. Dans les années 1890, il écrit des poèmes empreints de naturalisme et de patriotisme dans le style de Louis Fréchette. Devenu traducteur au sénat canadien en 1902, il meurt à Ottawa en 1917.
