Synopsis "Lies and Death: Detective Chief Inspector John Cummins"
Detective Inspector John Cummins leads a happy life with his beautiful wife Emma and their two sons, Peter and Jamie. They live in a quiet little village called Llandinam. John is stationed seven miles down the road in Newtown and covers all of Powys, as well as South and North Wales. All seems well until his idyllic life is disrupted when his partner Detective Sergeant Melanie Gibson is murdered after a night out. This starts a series of killings, all of them police women from his station. John and his team are finding it very hard to find a motive. The killer is very smart and leaves no clues, giving John and his team a very hard task. Their only hope is that the killer slips up and makes a mistake. All avenues have been exhausted, leaving John and his team feeling very frustrated but determined to not let the case go cold. But what happens when John suffers a personal tragedy that seems like more than he can bear? Will he still be able to focus on the case or will a killer go free?
