From the creation of man until the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus and until now, God has never intended us to see living for Him as adherence to rules and regulations. How many people have you known who undertake as much church related activities as possible, in effort to please the Lord? Yet Hebrews 11:6 says that without FAITH, it's impossible to please Him. Most assuredly, living for God involves activity but our faith is in Him. We are His children, born of His Spirit and empowered to serve because of HIS life in us. Romans 7:6 says that we serve, not in the oldness of the letter (or by written rules) but in the "newness of the Spirit". This is the essence of the New Covenant in the Blood of Jesus - the Father and His family. Hebrews 10:16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;This is the New Covenant that was foretold by the prophet Jeremiah (Jeremiah 31:33). How difficult it must have been at that time to understand how this could happen - God's law written on our hearts and in our minds. This is the "life in the Spirit" that was foretold and is now revealed. This book brings you, in paragraph version, without chapter and verse numbers, sections of the New Testament that tell us about this new life.
