Synopsis "Lion, In Love"

David was a Chicago White Sox Rookie of the Year pitching sensation. On a warm autumn evening, he attended a lavish party held in his honor at the posh Four Seasons hotel in New York. The celebration attracted everyone who was anyone, even a television crew. No one there noticed the monster, wearing sunglasses and black boots, waiting impatiently for the rowdy revelers to depart. He wanted to be alone with his fine, pretty, blond prey. They would have a special party together. The monster's crazed overtures of love were spurned. He retaliated by brutally assaulting David, leaving him for dead in an abandoned building. Thankfully, the pitcher was found, and he recuperated from his serious injuries, enduring months of painful physical therapy. Now traumatized and despondent, he became a quiet, sullen, semi-drunken loner who bought cheap booze and chased women. He found his way to Las Vegas, where he racked up astonishing gambling debts in a casino. Amanda was a beautiful supermodel and philanthropist. Her latest fiancé intended to marry her in Las Vegas, but he left out one crucial detail-he was already married. Amanda decided that she would seek her rightful revenge by finding some kind of a man to marry her anyway. Clad in a resplendent wedding gown, she stepped onto the casino floor and zeroed in on David. When Amanda and David met at a blackjack table, their mutual dislike for each other was palpable. David lost a significant bet that he made to Amanda, and he was forced to marry her that same night. For reasons neither of them would fully reveal, they agreed to live together platonically for one month. The couple had a wonderfully diverse and interesting group of friends supporting them in their tenuous marriage. Ellington was a widower with triplets and was the Detroit Tigers starting catcher. Jasmine was a brilliant, haughty, gasoline-sniffing supermodel who disliked most people. Bernadette ran a multimillion-dollar diamond company and had been divorced three times. Cameron was a world famous fashion photographer who was Amanda's longtime champion. Didier was a talented makeup artist who was always broke and had a roving eye. Finally, there was Joe, an adorable and loyal bulldog puppy who was rescued from a puppy mill. David and Amanda fell in lust, and, perhaps much too quickly, fell in love. Shocking secrets and trust issues remained and sudden tragedy tore them apart. The stars in the heavens that once looked as if they were aligned in their favor disappeared from view, forcing them to go their separate ways. Finding their way back to love seemed to be against all odds. The dark obsession of the monster was growing more dangerous as he searched for David. He vowed to eliminate anyone, including Amanda, who got in the way of his final encounter with the man who did not love him. The monster promised himself that when he found David this time, he would destroy his fine, blond, pretty prey for good.
