Synopsis "Living Above Defeat: Fulfilling Your Destiny"

Failure is not the same thing as defeat. Failure is temporary whereas defeat is permanent. Failure is just the eventuality of missing a mark. However, you are not rendered incompetent simply because you have missed a certain mark set by a given system or person. Failure is not real. It is apparent. It is branded on you by external forces. Defeat on the other hand is internal. It starts from within. Nobody and nothing can defeat you. Your state of mind and spirit dictates whether or not you can live above defeat. You willingly allow or disallow defeat to manifest in your life. Failure is merely a setback. Between one level of success and another there is almost always a setback. Setbacks are momentary stopovers on the trip to the next level of success. God will never view a person as defeated because He sees the bigger picture. God has planned an eternal destiny (spiritual) and a temporal destiny (physical). Assuming that your lifetime starts at 'A' and end at 'Z'; your destiny begins at destination 'A' and ends at destination 'Z'. Destination 'A' is when you arrive at the scene. But you did not bring yourself to destination 'A'; neither were you consulted on the matter. This should get you realizing that you are not, at the very least, the master of your own destiny. God has purposed and pre-designed your destiny. You have to understand this and you have to believe in order for you to catch this revelation! We are like arrows in God's bow. We are like stones in God's catapult or sling. God is a master archer. Starting at one destination, He aims us to the next destination. But here is what confuses most people. The aiming process, the pre-launch phase is what many of us don't get to understand. An arrow cannot be held or aimed if it is still in motion. So during transit, say from destination 'G' (when you graduate from college) to destination 'H' (when you start your own home), everything seems pretty straight. Life is good; you are working and earning a good salary; tomorrow seems secure; everybody wants to be like you when they grow up! During this phase, however much you think you are advancing; your progress is not absolute. You can only advance to the measure of the aim, with which God launched you from destination 'G', and whether you like it or not, your progress must be punctuated at destination 'H' to allow God to pick you up and aim you afresh from destination 'H' to destination 'I'
