That lust! That body! It trapped every beat of my heart, every breath I took, and then spiraled me down into reckless depravity. Stupidity, rage, and utter foolishness followed, where commonsense was forsaken. Despair finally drove me back to reality and hope. Then, a glimmer of light brought two miracles: The first was a love with great pain, the second, love with its ultimate gift of grace, unwarranted but given freely. In the middle years of my life, where I should have known better, I became embroiled with a wily seducer. This frantic, foolish beginning tore my life apart, even my professional position was at risk as she stalked me everywhere. Destruction knew no bounds with this Salome, who demanded-then simply took. Always trying to hide from her, and when it was over, the bright Light of Heaven sought out my despair; but I was so unworthy. Later, I found an amazing love.
