Synopsis "Maxi Taxi and the Loose Women"
Max Morrison fought in the Battle of The Bulge in the winter of 1944-1945. Using his body to shield his buddy, he was hit by shrapnel from a butterfly bomb. His right hand and elbow were shattered, and his left arm completely severed. With a Purple Heart, he returned to Mansfield, Ohio to become a successful businessman.Max is well-known for playing a mean banjo, using a left arm that was reattached by field surgeons on the battlefield, and a right hand that was so damaged, he had to have machinists make special picks for him.Still going strong at ninety, Max wrote this memoir to share his story of overcoming poverty and wartime injuries.
