It contains his family tree, a very personal portrait of his parents, the history of his childhood and adolescence, and his early vocation for Medicine culminating in his graduation from the University of Havana Medical School. The painful experiences of leaving his country for political reasons, and his adaptation to a new country and a new language, are vividly described. He has written this autobiography with the ambitious purpose of leaving the younger generations with some useful advice learned through the experiences of a long, productive, and successful life in his adopted country, the United States of America.
