Synopsis "Missing the Moon"
The moon is a large and wondrous spectacle, massive and towering up in its mighty perch in the sky at night. But one strange and fateful day, it disappears. And only one person notices it's gone. Luna Starling dreams about the sky, what it's like, how it moves, and especially what it would be like to live with the moon. Her dream was shattered the night the moon disappeared, and she makes it her sole mission to bring it back and possibly fulfill her fantasy. Accompanied by a floating mustache, a hedgehog, and a stuffed turtle, she wanders through the forests of Oregon in search for the moon. But when she unexpectedly finds someone who changed her entire life forever, she starts to wonder about her past. All of the wonderful memories suddenly seem unreal and not quite hers, and her continuing travels lead her to believe something very strange and wondrous indeed. Her dream is molded and shaped into an extraordinary adventure, and she finds herself woven into a reality that changes her entire journey and rest of her life forever.
