Dieser Band bietet eine wort- und strukturgetreue deutsche Neuubersetzung des MTL-Ez 11,25-48,35 unter gleichzeitiger Vorlage der erstmaligen Ubersetzung von LXX967-Ez 11,25-48,35. Die Ubersetzungen sind synoptisch angeordnet. Wesentliche Unterschiede zwischen den Textfassungen sind markiert (z.B. substantielle Zusatze in der einen oder anderen Fassung). Auf Grunde fur die Unterschiede wird vielfach in Anmerkungen eingegangen; beispielsweise, wenn Unterschiede darauf hindeuten, dass der griechische Ubersetzer(kreis) einen vom MT abweichenden hebraischen Text vorliegen hatte. Zahlreiche philologische Anmerkungen erschliessen den Text. Daruber hinaus werden detaillierte Angaben zur Kommunikationsstruktur der beiden Fassungen gemacht, etwa durch ein redaktionelles Uberschriftensystem, das die Kommunikationsebenen ausweist. Das Buch ist ein wichtiges Hilfsmittel fur die Erschliessung der ezechielischen Texte in Bezug auf Textentstehung und rhetorische Strukturen.
