Synopsis "Muriel: or; Lust's Labour Won"
Mr Mansfield has long suspected his wife's growing disinterest in him as he poured over the pages of his unfinished novel. Her decision to relocate herself and a number of their offspring to the city was therefore of little surprise. But rather then sink into melancholia, Mr Mansfield uses the opportunity to familiarise himself with the hidden delights availed to him by the pretty maids which see to his estate. The daughter that remained with him subsequently develops a proclivity towards the voyeuristic and is soon experimenting of own delicious accord. And Mrs Mansfield too, not one for doting on the past, embraces those forbidden delicacies that appear to be prescribed upon her new residence. It is not long before her city mansion becomes a den of the utmost debauchery, where bright young things are 'schooled' in the libertine ideals that pervade their tutors' libidinous designs. Much tribadism, gamahuching, and poking ensues in both households up to the dizzying orgiastic heights where true sexual awakening awaits. Gleaned through the most sumptuously suggestive, and ofttimes graphic, entries of each participant's diary, readers of 'Muriel; Lust's Labour Won' will bear witness to a Victorian England which is less than proper and very, very far from prudish; a rare and unique erotic gem and worthy addition to any collection of the once-suppressed.
