Synopsis "Neue prognostische Marker für benigne odontogene Läsionen (in German)"

Odontogene Läsionen bilden eine heterogene Gruppe von Pathologien, die den Kiefer betreffen. In der Gruppe der benignen odontogenen Läsionen stechen die odontogenen Keratozysten und Ameloblastome als gutartige Läsionen hervor, die ein lokal aggressives Verhalten und eine grö ere Tendenz zum Wiederauftreten aufweisen. Im Gegensatz dazu weist die Dentigerous-Zyste ein indolentes biologisches Verhalten auf. Die derzeit empfohlene Behandlung von odontogenen Läsionen mit aggressivem biologischem Verhalten ist nach wie vor umstritten, und in vielen Fällen werden aufgrund des Umfangs des Eingriffs verstümmelnde chirurgische Eingriffe durchgeführt. Die Marsupialisation, eine Form der Dekompression, ist eine weitere Methode zur Behandlung solcher Läsionen. Ziel der Marsupialisation ist es, die Läsion zu verkleinern, so dass weniger umfangreiche chirurgische Eingriffe durchgeführt werden können.
