I don't know what life in the new heavens and the new earth will look like, but I am convinced that the more we can see into that future, the better we will live this life. Jesus saw into that future much more clearly than any of us, and what He saw enabled Him to endure the harshest treatment and death while resisting the temptation to call on the angels to help Him abandon the cross. He saw that His reward would be more than worth what He was suffering. The light of such vision helps us to see clearly so that we can make better choices as we travel through this life. Eternity is the end which we need to see from the beginning in order to live a truly highly effective life. It is my prayer that this book-sized meditation on all that the Word says awaits us in eternity will give you, the reader, the hope that you need to endure through all of your tough times with the joy in your heart that is your strength. Also, I hope that this book will give you the perspective that you need in order to make the best choices in this life that will bring you the most happiness in the new earth. As some have pointed out, true happiness comes from trading what you want now for what you want most.
