In hoc libro, Sanderus, qui fuit sacerdos Catholicus, describit causas et rationes quibus rex Henricus VIII se a Romana Ecclesia separavit, et quomodo eius successores, Edwardus VI, Maria Regina, et Elizabetha Regina, prosecuti sunt hanc separationem. Sanderus etiam describit resistentiam Catholicorum in Anglia, qui perseveraverunt in fide Catholica et qui patiebantur persecutionem propter hoc.
