Phred and his twin brother, Phrank, were living together happily in a shelter until Phrank was adopted by a nice family. Phred tried to be happy for Phrank, but he really missed him and wondered when he too would go to a "forever home." Then, one by one, other lucky cats were chosen by families to live with them. Phred missed all of his friends and would look out the window watching them as they left. Phrank and each of the other cats left Phred with a wonderful gift... a Life Lesson that he would put to good use when he left the shelter to begin his own new life.
