Synopsis "No Other Man"

No Other Man is a roller-coaster ride of secrets, lies, betrayals, passion and renewal. Follow one man's path to another life, a better life.DAVID PIERCE, a British, London based mercenary is a womanizer with a volatile temper, no discernable heart or belief in love. His youth, marred by an abusive, alcoholic father, drug addicted mother and the loss of his younger sister, made him into a hard and unyielding man. He is disliked by most of his associates except his boss to whom he is invaluable. David knows his very life depends on his ability to disconnect all ties, emotions, and desires. He would be deemed useless by the agency if he did not keep himself in check. His need to leave the harshness of life behind, for whatever time he could steal away, led to a series of women, with no real satisfaction. David travels the world on assignments as assassin, weapons expert and spy, making it difficult for any woman to truly know or hold him. He becomes obsessed with ANA RAMIREZ before he learns he was the man who killed her husband. Continuing the affair, in spite of this history, his obsession turns to love without his realizing it. One co-worker, PAUL MAXWELL, blames David for his wife leaving him after she has a brief affair with David. Paul threatens to get even with David any way he can, even if it means telling Ana about David's role in her husband's death, in spite of agency orders against it. When David confesses his part in her husband's death to Ana, the lovers part. David goes to Calcutta, to confront the tragic past that made him the way he was before Ana came into his life. On returning to London a massive bombing in the city proves the uncertainty of life to Ana. Forgiveness seems possible once Ana realizes the threat of loosing him forever. Forgiveness may bring them back to each others arms. The book follows David's travels and exploits and their affair through four continents and many violent conflicts and demonstrates how their relationship opens him to love again.
