Synopsis "Of Splendor and Ashes: Beyond the Secrets"
Leah has loved two men in her life - her husband, Tony Silva, and evangelist, Josiah Lathim. After fifty years of secrets, Leah is confronted by Joel Mereck at Josiah's funeral. Joel, a reporter for a gossip magazine, has stumbled across pictures whose story could propel him to fame while destroying Leah and her family, and Josiah and his family. Joel's tragic childhood has left him bitter towards God and ministers. He envies Leah's close family, something he's always longed for. He's drawn to Leah's beautiful granddaughter, Lorayna, who suggests God brought him to their family. Just as Joel decides not to publish the story, he overhears something that sends him over the edge. Fleeing in rage, a near fatal accident leaves Joel in a coma. While comatose, he experiences a supernatural encounter where he confronts his past. He's presented the choice to pursue fame, or become part of a family he's always longed for.
