The writer also has encountered the joy and pains that comes with 'growing up'. On Becoming Rose is the raw truth - the raw deal, and was written to express that. It was also written for others to step out of fear and become victors of their own battles. Even if it means expressing their truth. Many persons are suffering in silence. Many persons have lot to say and don't know how to say it.. The writer hopes that they too can become inspired after reading her work and step into their new season of freedom and happiness. Dating can be a very tricky thing. Some of the poems depict how the persons you've dated or the person you are dating, can shape who you are today, how you look at relationships now and the type of relationships you would want your future son or daughter to have. Becoming Rose is an affirmation, a testimony and an inspirational piece. It is about the journey of Becoming the best version of ourselves, becoming a better woman and choosing better opportunities for self-advancement, including 'dating better'.
