About the Book> One Nation Taken Out Of Another is a joyride through the Five Books of Moses on the back of a strange chimera - with an American head, a Yiddish heart, and all manner of multicultural, bassackward, and wandering limbs grafted on to the whole. The included poems are in English, Yiddish, and both. It's midrash and whimsy, and an exploration of Bible, tradition, exile, redemption, and mystery. About the Author> Zackary Sholem Berger is a poet, translator, and short-story writer who writes in English, Yiddish, and the space between. He and his wife, Celeste Sollod, founded the publisher Yiddish House LLC in 2003, which published his first book of poetry, Not in the Same Breath (2011), as well as his Yiddish translations of The Cat in the Hat, Curious George, and other classic children's books.
