Q: Why did you choose a nurse as your protagonist? I love a goal-oriented heroine, who is determined to get what she wants. But my heroines have vulnerabilities and personal issues they have to work through in order to achieve their goals. And my alpha heroes are smart and tough but have scars that may not always be obvious at first. I am a nurse myself and believe nurses to be some of the most trustworthy people on the planet, but they are also some of the most independent, strong women and men I know with a lot of quirks thrown in. In short, nurses make perfect main characters! And mix a feisty heroine like Iris Jones with an imposing plastic surgeon, and you've got a combination that'll explode like dynamite! You'll find this sizzling combination in all of my novels. I love it when my hero and heroine can't resist each other. My other books also feature willful females as the main characters, but of course they are matched with equally stubborn and complex alpha males who will stop at nothing to protect and pursue the women they love. Q: How would you describe your books? Romantic, steamy sex, and mystery with a good dose of suspense and surprise. Complex main characters who have to overcome a problem to get what they want. Who doesn't like a mix of the above? Isn't that why we read? I come to adore my heroines and heroes and really miss them when the book is over. Hopefully, my readers will feel the same way. Q: Can I read these books in any order? Yes, they are stand alone novels, all featuring a headstrong heroine and a steaming alpha hero you'll be glad you got to know. Novels by Amy B.
