Diese Arbeit befasst sich mit dem Ersatz herkömmlicher zweiteiliger Antriebswellen aus Stahl durch eine einteilige Antriebswelle aus E-Glas/Epoxid, hochfestem Kohlenstoff/Epoxid und hochmoduligem Kohlenstoff/Epoxid-Verbundwerkstoff für eine Automobilanwendung. Die Konstruktionsparameter wurden mit dem Ziel optimiert, das Gewicht der Verbundwerkstoff-Antriebswelle zu minimieren. Die Optimierung des Designs zeigte auch eine signifikante Verbesserung der Leistung der Antriebswelle.
