Synopsis "Pastoral Administration: Developing The Person God Called You To Be"

Have you been called by God into Church Leadership: pastor, teacher, prophet, or leadership in any area of the church? This book can help you. This book was given to me under the unction of the Holy Spirit as a guide and help to those who believe God has called them to Pastor especially because I know He called me to that ministry. But I am not dealing with the mechanics of Pastoral Administration, but the Pastoral Administrator - the individual person. My prayer is that this book will encourage you as you step out and obey God. You will go through hard time, but be of good courage you are not alone and God will see you through every trial that you have to face. Down through the years I have seen news reports of different top church leaders fall to sin or be caught up in the wrong situations that left a negative imprint in my soul about pastoring. Why is it that preachers with such good standing as far as man can see - find themselves in compromising situations that is spread out all over the newspapers for the world to see? Why is it that some preachers can't stand and be holy the way the word of God speaks about? He promised to help our infirmities. Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us into all truth. So why is it that these preachers got caught up in the wrong thing? Well, after suffering through so much with pastors I have been under, being falsely accused and called out of my name to name a few; I came to realize that they are only human and if they are not fully surrendered to the Lord, anything can happen. They get caught up in the grandeur of whom God has made them and I believe that because of that, they feel they are above the laws of God and the laws of the land. It doesn't have to be incidents that were published over the news and newspapers, but within the four walls of the church. And in doing so, have left a mark on God's Church, causing many to continue in sin while still serving in God's Church. For this, many have left the Church altogether. Therefore I followed the unction of the Holy Spirit in writing this book of "Pastoral Administration - Developing The Person God Called You To Be." This book was written with deep conviction that we as pastors can live a holy life before God and before His people. Jesus is our example and He knew there would be problems with this fleshy house that we live in. That is the reason He gave us the Holy Spirit to help us through it all. He has laid out His plans as to how we as Christians are to live through His Word. His blueprint for life, and all we as Pastoral Administrators have to do is follow the plans and be who God called us to be. In this book I share many scripture to support what God has given me to write as well as many of my personal experiences as a pastor - in training and as a pastor. We must not look at people as our attackers but trust God guide us through all that we have to suffer for His glory. God has given us examples like David, and Deborah just to name a few in His word that we as Pastoral Administrators to help us. We must also watch how we respond to incidents and problems that we face day by day because it will affect our leadership ability. We must have the right attitude in all areas of our life and I deal with these attitudes in this book. My prayer for you as you read this book is to ask God to reveal and confirm the call He has on your life and to give you instructions daily as to what He wants you to do for His glory. We must trust God to see us through the plans that He has for our life. He is the only one that can because He has the blueprint for each of us. I love you and pray that this book will bless and help you in your role as pastor to God's people. In The Master's Service, Dr. Angela C. Carter
