Synopsis "PGPR diversity for plant growth promotion"
Catharanthus roseus is a medicinal plant proven for a range of benefits such as anticancer, antifungal, antibacterial, antiviral, antitumor activities etc. The plant rhizoidal diversity has been studied to isolate potent PGPR bacteria to apply them as a biocontrol agent. A range of bacterial species has been isolated from the experimental plant which have been proven for their plant growth promoting activities. The isolates were categorized on the basis of their PGPR traits such as phosphate solubilization, ammonia production, HCN production, auxin production, etc.
