His parents don’t think of Bobby as disabled but as a very special boy. Popcorn also thinks of his friend Bobby as a very special little boy. When Bobby is teased and bullied by the other children, Popcorn’s strong love for Bobby brings about a miracle and transforms Popcorn into a “Real Pony” who becomes Bobby’s service pony and allows him to travel anywhere he wants to go.
