Es handelt sich um eine klinische Situation, bei der es zu einer übermä igen Sekretion von PTH durch die Nebenschilddrüsen kommt, was zu einer chronischen Hyperkalzämie und zu Veränderungen in den wichtigsten Zielorganen des Hormons (Niere und Knochen) führt(5,6). Sie ist die häufigste Ursache für Hyperkalzämie bei nicht hospitalisierten Patienten(5,27).
