The story line features the intrigue of bio-terrorism and begins with the grounding of a derelict tramp ship on the North Jetty at the entrance to Charleston harbor, South Carolina. Doctor Jake Weber and his wife, both forensic pathologists, unravel the mysteries of the ship and the plague aboard her. The plot is dark and mysterious but interspersed with astonishing faith, loyalty, and compelling love. The cast of characters overlaps with the previous novel in this series, "Final Judgment."
