Synopsis "Psychological Profile in Medical Students at the University of Cusco"
Summary. A study is carried out in medical students of 5th cycle of Human Medicine at the Andean University of Cusco, studying the psychological profile. The Gaston Berger test, Barrat's Impulsivity, Buss and Perry's Aggressiveness, Social Skills of the WHO and SQR-18 of the MINSA are applied, with previous informed consent, and an analysis of correlations between the different variables with sex is carried out. The most relevant results obtained are that there is an average level of impulsivity and aggressiveness. Average-high and high level of social skills. Anxiety - depression level of 22%; 54.4% of psychotic symptoms, 10.3% of serious problems with alcohol consumption. There are low levels of correlation between the variables. It is recommended to conduct studies with a larger population and factorial analysis and to implement emotional support measures and counseling for students.
