Synopsis "Recycling CDW to produce paver in the construction industry"
Concern for the environment has led society to seek alternatives for more sustainable growth. Within this scenario, waste recycling has emerged as a promising possibility for reducing environmental impacts. In this way, attempts have been made to incorporate the use of recycled concrete by replacing natural aggregates with recycled aggregates from the processing of construction waste. In this book, the mechanical properties of the concrete composite were analyzed with a view to its use in the production of concrete paver. The natural coarse aggregates were replaced by coarse aggregates of the same grain size from the recycling of construction waste in increasing percentages. This book shows the great potential of using this material to replace the natural aggregates used in paver production. Compressive strength results at 28 days were 37.18 MPa for 100% natural aggregate, 32.47 MPa for aggregate with 40% added CDW, 27.08 MPa for aggregate with 60% added CDW and 19.13 MPa for aggregate with 100% added CDW.
