While written for beginning courses in global or world regional geography, Regional Conflict and Cooperation is also an excellent text for interdisciplinary social science classes, classes in anthropology and political science, or programs in peace and conflict studies. Brian McCabe earned a master of advanced study degree in geographic education at Arizona State University and a master of arts in geography at California State University, Fullerton before becoming a member of the faculty. He has received the California State University system's Annual Author Award and a service award from the state of California for his work with the Board of Education revising the state history and social science framework. Professor McCabe is the author of Geography is Dead: How America Lost its Sense of Direction."
