Synopsis "Santa and the Stranger: A Novella by George F. Kohn"
A strange man appears at the North Pole - possibly an alien from another galaxy, disguised to look like people on earth. The stranger resembles a character associated with outer space, often referred to as a "man in black." His briefcase is full of documents and contracts. He meets with Santa to discuss a proposal about a future new delivery system that would eliminate the traditional sleigh and reindeer. It would forever change the spirit of Christmas. During the stranger's persuasive presentation, Santa has mixed feelings about giving up the old tradition of Christmas! He is worried about all the children's feelings throughout the world and how other folks would accept this radical change. Before Santa can make a decision, he must talk to his wife, Valada, and consult with his elf helpers to get their opinion on this matter. In a meeting with all assembled, Santa employs his power of argumentation before a vote is taken. He finds they share his strong convictions and foresight, making this a tough sell for the determined stranger.
