Synopsis "Scary Stories from Tropical Malaysia: For the Truly Unafraid"

This is a compilation of twelve short scary stories, many of them partly based on real events dealing with the supernatural, the magical, and mystical works of sharmans, black magic, the devil, and the unknown invisible residents of homes and the tropical jungle. In the mystical world, there are lives of the dead lingering around restlessly for reasons unknown, and some seeking justice to those causing their deaths, and these scary stories deal with the unbelievable, but truly happening. One story tells of restless souls of those killed by the Japanese invaders during the World War II, and in another story a samurai who had performed the hara-kiri had left behind a cursed samurai sword. An almost true story deals with the ghosts of the English colonial residents murdered a hundred years ago, seeking justice and for the real story to be told. In another chapter, the devil has entered the body of a young bride, now possessed and forced to do the work as commanded by another evil woman. In the story about a Malaysian politician who was butchered at his own request, it revealed human greed, lust, hunger for power and money. In one scary story, the reader is taken to the place of the sharman, to see him performing the black magic, for he truly is able to communicate with the devils. Last but not least, how does a murderer die? How does a man whose job was to kill people, die? Is it any easy death? Or does the death come with a prelude of the hell awaiting?
