Thiswastheninth inanannualseriesofmeetingswhichprovideresearcherswiththeopportunity todiscusscurrentworkonstochasticprocessesinaninformalandenjoyableat- mosphere. PreviousseminarswereheldatPrincetonUniversity, Northwestern University, theUniversityofFloridaandtheUniversityofVirginia. Theseminar hasgrownovertheyears, withatotalofseventy-fiveparticipantsin1989. Fol- lowingthesuccessfulformatofpreviousyears, therewerefiveinvitedlectures, deliveredby K. L. Chung, D. Dawson, R. Durrett, N. IkedaandT. Lyons, with theremainderoftimebeingdevotedtostructured, butlessformal, discussionson currentworkandproblems. Severalsmallergroupsalsoheldworkshopsessions onspecifictopicssuchas: mper-processes, diffusionsonfractalsandHarnack inequalities.
