Synopsis "Smoking Behavior, Knowledge and Attitude Among Male Healthcare Workers"
Smoking is major public health concern. According to World Health Organization tobacco is the second major cause of death and the fourth most common risk factor for disease worldwide. Healthcare workers play a leading role in tobacco usage prevention in the community. It may be surprising to find that HCW are included in the statistic. Although all the HCW had good knowledge about the harmful effects associated with smoking, smoking prevalence still had ascending trend. Therefore, the main purpose of this study was to assess the smoking behaviors, knowledge and attitude among healthcare worker in public setting.
