Synopsis "So-Long Now: Roger Woodman's Letters Home, 1941-1945"
On July 29, 1941, at twenty-two years old, Roger Woodman was one of twenty-two draftees from Hartford, CT ordered to report for military service. He served for two years, much of the time in the South Pacific. During the course of his service, Roger wrote over 100 letters home, and his mother tenderly kept them and compiled them into two scrapbooks. These letters are as much about a young man's experience during World War II as they are about a mother's love.
