It is with great pleasure that we present a collection of articles with academic experiences in technical consultancy in social housing. These are papers presented at the latest editions of the Social Housing Seminar (SHIS), promoted by UFSJ's GEPHIS.Technical advice has been recognized as a tool for guaranteeing the right to adequate housing, promoting social inclusion, valuing the efforts made in construction, improving the quality of construction and reducing construction costs.Academic production in this area is essential for improving practices, disseminating knowledge and strengthening the exchange of experiences between professionals, institutions and communities.
