Synopsis "Star Sword"

AD499. A young Celt witnesses his sword-smith fathers's brutal murder, enraged he defeats his slayer. By right of conquest, acquiring a vast fortune, while inadvertently rescuing Ragnvaldr's beautiful hostage, both fleeing the scene to Wales, to avoid retribution. Once there, he is instrumental in driving out Saxon land grabbers, which leads to his first major battle, forging the beginning of his reputation. To fulfill his promise to his dying father, to create a Star sword, manufactured from the iron thrown from the sky by the God's (meteorite), he must first locate the Star iron, which is rumoured to have fallen south on the Isle of Lyonesse, then the soft grey rock (graphite), only found way up North. This quest leads to many battles, betrayals and death, before he can forge Damascus Steel, making the super weapon of its day. Autherlain Pen Dragon 'Long Sword' is eventually crowned King of Wales, but it it his son, Arthur, with the help of a Druid, who is remembered.
