Synopsis "Still Smiling: A Jewish-Italian Girl's Guide to Life & Love, Motherhood & Mayhem, Tragedy & Triumph and Food for the Soul"
Still Smiling is a partial memoir about the author's comical, chaotic, and sometimes heartbreaking life as the mother of seven children, with flashbacks to her zany, yet loving childhood and iconic references to the 70's and 80's. On the serious side, it enlightens readers about an unthinkable crime that took place against one of her children on New Year's Eve, how the family came to grips with what transpired, and how the author and her children ultimately prevailed through their strong family bonds and the support of close friends. Also included are some of the author's favorite and treasured family recipes, or her "food for the soul" as she fondly refers to her family meals.
