Synopsis "Strangeness and Coexistence of African Students"
The arrival of African students in the municipality of São Francisco do Conde-BA (Brazil) between 2014-2016 generated looks of surprise, curiosity and a lot of strangeness in the city. The aim here is to reflect on how this strangeness has interfered in the lives of these students, their coexistence, the body of African women in the city and the strangeness that exists among Africans themselves, because, as we know, the continent is not unitary and there are many aspects in common in social and cultural terms, but also important differences and peculiarities. The book was designed for the entire African diaspora and beyond, to show Africans and non-Africans how this estrangement has negatively affected African students in São Francisco do Conde and around the world, because the estrangement that Africans suffer is no different from the context in which they find themselves in the diaspora.
