She is shunned for living in sin with the stranger, the minister, Christ Yoder, throws over all his values becoming violent and landing in jail for murder. Livingston confesses his real intentions and, for the second time, is ordered out of Rebekah's home. But he comes to her rescue when the crazed minister decides that if he cannot have the lovely Rebekah, nobody can. The book runs appx. 100,000 and is complete.
