Synopsis "Tanami Station"

This is a story of lives colliding in the harsh landscape of Outback Australia. Jane flees her comfortable home in a small coastal village to take a job in the Northern Territory. Her ideal life has been destroyed by her former lover. He has become threatening and controlling. Fear is her constant companion. There is no one to turn to and nowhere to hide. In haste she flees. A terrifying journey leads to just as terrifying a location. The homestead is isolated and run down. She feels out of place, unwelcome, frightened and lonely. As the muster begins, she is thrown into the hot, dusty, never-ending demands of station life. It is hard work and she is often exhausted and always glad to see the end of every day. There are secrets here. The station and the people are haunted by ghosts of the past. It is in the middle of nowhere but even here she is not safe. She turns to the station owner for help and unwittingly sets off a chain of events that will change her life forever.
