Synopsis "Tearful Reign: Book 1"

It was as if someone took me by my shoulders and shook me.Losing my mother shook my world and broke it. Little did I know that I was about to have my perspective turned inside out and upside down. After witnessing the brutal death of my mother, which I was not allowed to talk about, I had resolved to leave my old life behind. So, at the age of 18 I set off on my own, without so much as a goodbye to my guardian.I needed... a life reboot.Be careful what you wish for... you just might get it!I thought I needed to find what was missing from my life, in the form of family, but I had no idea that it would take me into a deadly world. A world of immortals - walkers, magic wielders, demons and even half-walker half-animals called shifters. I found Julian, my father, and he was not what I hoped he would be. I also found my uncle, Caleb and we made easy friends but he even had a terrifying side. I soon learned that all walkers were dangerous. My father was a monster and at first the more time I spent with him, the more I hated him, or so I thought. He was a walking contradiction. Nice and helpful one minute then mean and nasty the next. The only reason I didn't run like a terrified human was because of my uncle. He gave me hope and his kind words and gentle demeanor made it hard to believe he was one of them. My father made it very clear to me that I did not belong in his world and when his cousin, Lucian, insisted I needed to "find my own kind," I found myself agreeing. What will they do when they realize I am their enemy? My mother was called, "friend of angels." Maybe that is where I truly belong. In the days ahead, I find that I cannot leave this darkness behind because a voice inside me tells me that I will conquer it and take back what was stolen from me and my kind. In the days ahead, I will learn what it means to glare into the face of darkness, knowing it is glaring back at me and I will not be moved. Tears flow from my eyes often. I learn that they are tears of transformation and the world around me will never be the same. Heaven and Hell are real and there is a war, and because I exist, the tides will turn, even if it costs me everything.
