It was supposed to be a good day for Carolyn Cordova. It was supposed to be her first day as an agent of the FBI and she was going to show everyone what she had worked so hard all her life to do. Finally, she was going to make a name for herself. And then she died. But Carolyn Cordova is special. She is an eternal. Now, faced with the choice of either registering with the Supernatural Affairs Unit (SnAfU), the joke of the FBI, or eternal imprisonment for the crime of coming back to life, she makes the only choice she can. She signs away her rights as a former human to become an agent of the same organization that sought to imprison her. As a new agent of SnAfU, she is teamed up with a young mage that has turned his back on his family and together they must solve the case of the Gentleman Liquor Store Phantom. It should have been an easy case to cut their teeth on, but they soon find that all is not as it seems and that an odd little boy seems to be at the heart of this mystery. They soon learn that things can always get stranger when you're working for SnAfU. Set in the same universe as the Amelia Graves series, this new series follows the adventures of a newly resurrected former human as she struggles to find her footing in a world where magic is real, her rights are fewer, and her life is now measured in centuries.
