Synopsis "The 13 Unsung Heroes: The Untold Story"

Rudy Molina was raised in West Texas. Pecos was his hometown. Home of the World's first rodeo. Raised in an abusive home, Rudy was put to work at an early age. Life consisted of school, work, and more work. As he grew up, he wanted an adventure. A way out of the abusive household he became to despise. He found that adventure in joining the United States Marines. Rudy would be shipped off to fight on the frontlines of the Vietnam War. Vietnam, a small, Asian country 10,000 miles away from his home. His base camp was Camp Kistler. Most Marines called it the "Cua Viet." It was located at the mouth of the Cua Viet River. A vital supply route for both NVA and U.S. forces. He was assigned to the "Battalion Scouts" of the H&S Co,1st Amtrac Battalion, 3rd Marine Division. Fighting was fierce and located close to the DMZ, Rudy saw a lot of action. January 20th 1968 would become the WORST day of his life. For many others assigned to the 1st Amtrac Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, they would share the same thought. It was the day Rudy lost 13 Marine brothers including his best friend; a Hungarian from Ohio named Steve Sandor Sarossy. Finding peace after that day has been a struggle. The screams of that day never turn off. The vision never leaves his mind. The aroma of the Cua Viet never leaves his nostrils. It's a day embedded in his brain. It seems like yesterday for Rudy. 51 years later, nothing has changed. He never forgot that fateful day. He never forgot his Marine brothers. He never forgot his best friend Steve. It's time to bestow honor to those fallen Marines and let the world know of these heroes....The 13 Unsung Heroes.
