A magical, humorous tale of good, evil, vengeance, and forgiveness.Emily is a delight for children and adults alike! A feather no just for the birds!" --- Ray Bradbury Emily and the Feathernail is a tale of altruism and magic for mature children and immature adults The extensive vocabulary is explained by footnotes [1]. Emily Finfeather is an orphan who lives with her angry, silent Grandmother in a dark, windy, old house. On a field trip to the zoo, Emily is locked inside the aviary overnight by evil classmates. During the long, lonely night she sets free the birds. As a reward, they give her the feathernail, a tiny feather where her little fingernail once grew. It enables her to travel inside of dreams and change them. With the aid of two other magically gifted friends and with a talking cat she sets out to discover if her parents are alive and why her grandmother is so nasty.
