For as long as life has been, so too has been the desire to end it. One god, spurned in his love for another, conceived a heinous form of tainted magic vicious enough to rid all the worlds of human decency. He began with Essa, for it was the land protected by she whom he most desired. There, Searzig unleashed his blight, preying upon the weak and the discontent. Amarande's humans were forced to fight the cursed force else be fully consumed. Born on Essa in the kingdom of Argille, the Fearchar brothers are thrust into this world so wrought with the Shadows of Searzig. After witnessing the brutal murders of their parents, They vow to dedicate their lives to protecting humankind from the god's corruption, in hopes that one day the worlds might be scourged of it. As they forge ahead on their own, a woman drops one of them to his knees. A powerful love, overwhelming in its fury, tugs fully at his heart whilst pulling also within his sibling the strings of jealousy. Love, then, is the cause of the rifts in the worlds. It is the cause of the cleft between brothers. And, yet, it is the only power strong enough to mend such tears. In the end, will it be enough to save the worlds from darkness? Thus begins the unforgiving struggle between the Brightness and the Shadows in this, the first tale of the Fearchar Legacy.
