Synopsis "The Buck Private Murders"

Army Colonel MacDonald approaches GBS station manager James Emerson with a proposition for a new publicity stunt. After hearing the successful broadcasts that had taken place during the Halloween weekend, the army hatches a scheme to have the radio station broadcast from upcoming war game exercises. The military leadership hopes that by having common citizens participate in the games it will help voluntary recruitment into the Army. After the GBS crew arrives at the site of the war games, there are acts of sabotage, sightings of a mysterious figure on the outskirts of camp, and the brutal slaying of one of the new recruits. All the evidence seems to point to announcer Paul Roberts committing the homicide. Could Paul be a murderer? Are the saboteur and the killer one in the same, or are there two destructive agents at work? As the mystery deepens and racial tensions mount, can the rest of the staff unravel the murky secrets of the past before more violence breaks out?
