Synopsis "The Christmas Gift"
Beautiful and brave Loretta Rogers is a survivor. It is Christmas and once again Loretta is looking to survive. She survived the civil war working as a volunteer nurse, taking care of the wounded men who were sent back to New York. One night, some Confederate soldiers set fire to her family's house. She was trapped inside, until a stranger saved her. A year later, the war was over and Loretta is left with terrible scars and a mystery surrounding who saved her. She decided to become a mail order bride since nothing was left for her in New York. She found an advertisement that was placed by Chester Larson. The two corresponded to each other for several months, and then he sent along a ticket so she could join him in San Antonio, Texas! Once there, she realizes there is a lot more to Chester. He is also scarred and terribly withdraw, it is difficult for Loretta to learn much about him. When his friend tries to steal her from him, that is when Chester begins to open up. But will Loretta like what she learns?
